Message just cause its sold on courtesynissan doesnt mean the part was made in a nissan plant. Car manufacturers often buy parts from their suppliers only so they can always have at least a small amount in stock so that they can feel good about having full part coverage on all of their vehicles. But of course they do a huge mark-up on the part just because they can. Where along the supply chain is what determines how much youre gonna pay for the exact same part (and yes depending on who sells it, it will have different pn's and different reference numbers even though its the exact same part made at the exact same place). Ok sorry for ranting. I know i've gone over this topic before on the forum but I just think its good to inform everyone on what I know about how the automotive parts industry works. That way everyone can make more of an informed decision on when they buy a part.
